Description
From the sunlit fields of Uzbekistan, from the foothills of the Himalyas, transport your senses to Central Asia with Tashkent Mint. This herb, hailing from the botanic richness of the country it is named after the capital Tashkent, it offers a classic minty flavour and aromatic leaves. Perfect for teas, culinary delights, and as a unique addition to your herb collection, Tashkent Mint adds an exotic touch to your garden. It is a prolific, abundant variety of spearmint. It is easy to maintain, and gives generous crops, re-growing very fast. Allegedly Delia Smiths favourite mint, I can understand why – Ill say it again, its sheer abundance! – although be warned this also means it easily takes the title of the most invasive of all mints so make sure you use a container/planter/underground pots are advised. Medium-green veined leaves, usually darker stalks. Mint is often used in cooking as well as making drinks, for example Uzbek mint and verbena tea.
