Description
This mint, like many, is a confusing one! While it is known as Romanian mint, it has the cultivar name of Johannisdorf which is in fact nowhere near Romania. Instead, Johannisdorf is a small town in North Germany, by the city Oldenburg in Holstein. So grow this and your cultivating a piece of Romanian herbal tradition, or possibly German. Either way, this herb, is anything but a classic mint flavour and it has a smokey, earthy aromatic leaf, It certainly resembles the Eastern European mints in its colour and charm. Ideal as a hardy garden companion, it has a sprawling, bush forming habit. Romanian Mint brings the scent of something inexplicably exotic to your outdoor space.
