Description
Elevate your garden with a touch of zest, from Hillarys Sweet Lemon Mint, a variety cultivated for its refreshing, yet soft and mild combination of mint and sweet lemon essence. With a gentle citrusy charm, this mint enhances teas, desserts, and culinary creations, a boon being that it does not overpower delicate dishes. The aromatic leaves and invigorating taste make it a versatile and delightful addition to your garden. Indeed, the product of seven years of experimentation by plant hybridizer Jim Westerfield, all conducted in his rural Illinois garden. “Hillarys Sweet Lemon” was his proudest achievement. The variety arose from a cross between apple and lime mint, and is named after Hillary Clinton since it is an aggressive female mint. Due to this unique aroma and flavour, the plant received a United States patent in 1993. The aroma and flavour certainly are unique but it does not really appear to be all that aggressive, and can be grown in the ground without fear of dramatic spreading.
