Welcome to Mintopia – home to a National Plant Collection of mentha and a nursery that’s anything but ordinary. We grow mint for wellbeing, for biodiversity, and for the sheer joy of its unruly, fragrant sprawl.
We believe mint is more than just a garnish. It’s a grower’s gateway herb – generous, grounding, and gloriously unpredictable. At Mintopia, we cultivate nearly 200 varieties (yes, really), working with schools, community gardens, and fellow plant-lovers to explore how mint can reconnect us with soil, seasons, and each other.
Our roots run through education, research, folklore, and everyday practice – from RHS shows to classroom windowsills. Whether it’s helping schools create living biodiversity libraries or co-creating calm spaces in the middle of city sprawl, we’re here to help mint (and minds) flourish.
We’ve got a few big dreams brewing – including a Mintopia polytunnel, a new garden at the Oaks Community School, and an expanding programme of workshops, plant fairs, and collaborative projects. Oh, and if you’ve ever fancied tasting chocolate mint, Eau de Cologne mint or (brace yourself) banana mint– we’ve got you covered.
